News that Gaming Technology Solutions (GTS) and NextGen Gaming are partnering up seems to be yet more evidence that the online gaming industry is going through a consolidation period.

Unfortunately for those of us of the online bingo persuasion, there is little evidence that this latest industry ‘partnership’ is going to produce much in the way of new online bingo games.

UK online bingo halls, particularly those reviewed by Bingo Street, are renowned for seeking out the latest bingo online games products for their customers and it seems a shame that the NextGen/GTS partnership is not targeting this potentially huge market.

Net Entertainment’s naming of Bertil.com as its mystery buyer of its Casino Module product is further proof that the Swedish online bingo market is booming.

Bertil is an established operator of bingo games online and is well placed to take advantage of upcoming changes to Sweden’s monopolistic gambling policies.  It will be interesting to see how Bertil handles the integration of Net Entertainment’s systems into its own operations.  However, you’ll have to learn some Swedish to fully appreciate the impact.

With the way the price of oil is going through the roof and its effect on prices at the petrol pump really eating into our budgets, the only street I want to go for a drive down these days is Bingo Street.

The South African Parliament has finally approved the country’s new Internet gambling law which aims to regulate and license operators.  With only President Thabo Mbeki signature needed now for the bill to become law, the South African online gaming market now becomes a viable opportunity for many online bingo games operators and developers of bingo online platforms.
