I’m really impressed with how the Wink Bingo Cashback For Life offer is going. This is one of those innovative ideas that separates the top sites from the merely good ones. Here on Bingo Street, we’ve got some of the best online bingo halls to choose from, but every now and then something comes along that shows someone is really thinking about how us people who play online bingo want things to work.
So what’s the Wink Bingo Cashback For Life offer you ask? Probably the best way to explain is to send you straight to Wink Bingo and get you playing – no,… seriously, it’s that simple.
When you sign up to play at Wink Bingo they will give you back 10% of the losses you may have had the previous week. It’s like they actually pay you to play bingo online.
How does it work?
Your Cashback offer means you get paid back weekly at the end of every Tuesday and will include all your Wink game play for the entire week. The maximum you can get through your Cashback offer is £300 and once it is credited to your Wink Bingo account you can then use it anywhere on the site.
For more details, why don’t you stop by online bingo’s newest and freshest site and sign up for the Wink Bingo way to play online bingo. With offers like these, it’s not surprising Wink is the talk of the town!

It looks as if 888.com’s intentions to consolidate their position in the online bingo industry have taken another step forward with the signing of a partnership deal with online games provider Electracade.
We are all aware of the success 888.com has had with its popular, and Bingo Street-rated 888ladies.com online bingo hall, so news of this new partnership is only more evidence that the company still has its sights on further improving its presence in online bingo.
Electracade boasts over 100 different games including sports betting, casinos scratch-cards and, most importantly, online bingo. These games will now be made available to 888.com as part of the partnership deal.
It has to be remembered that 888.com already has partnerships signed with other online games and platform developers such as CryptoLogic and Gaming Technology Solutions. It will be interesting to see how 888.com wields these various partnerships together and what effect that will have on bingo online.

Over the last year, we at Bingo Street have been predicting a consolidation of the online gaming industry that would have far-reaching implications for the online bingo games sector. News today that 888.com and Cryptologic have signed a major deal in which 888.com will be selecting Cryptologic’s games for its future operations is another indication that industry consolidation is taking place.
While this is not a merger, it does show a pattern by which major industry movers are seeking alliances and relationships amongst themselves to enhance their competitive advantage.
We all know that 888.com is a major online bingo operator through its 888ladies.com online bingo hall while CryptoLogic is a major provider of online bingo games software. It will be interesting to see how this relationship pans out over the year and if it will provoke similar deals between other major online bingo industry players.

The news from the British Parliament’s House of Lords has brought into sharp relief French protectionist attitudes in maintaining its state-run gambling monopoly.
UK-based online bingo games operators and online bingo players alike will be heartened by the general dissatisfaction expressed by the nation’s peers over what they say is an unfair policy penalizing those merely seeking to access the French market under European Union Treaty terms.
One Lord James pointed out that the penalty for downloading child pornography was the same in France as for making a small bet with a British bookie.
Lord Davies claimed French policy does not defend the French consumer (the usual excuse given for state-run gambling monopolies), but only protects French state gambling monopoly.
“The European Commission has made it clear that the French law is not acceptable within the framework of the European Community, and as a consequence we have no intention of following that atrocious example,” Lord Davies said.
My Comment: Here, Here! Play bingo online in France! Here, here! What, What! No British online bingo halls in France! Disgrace! Battle of Agincourt! Hmmph! Here, here! I resign! . . . chortle, chortle chortle, . . .

A New York Times article is highlighting the downturn currently affecting Las Vegas. I quote:
“For decades, this gambling center seemed nearly immune to the economic swings of the rest of the country. But these days, the city built on excess is seeing a troubling sign: moderation. Gambling revenue and hotel occupancy are down. Resorts are slashing room rates and offering coupons or free nights. Casino operators are firing hundreds of workers, and their stock prices have plummeted since October. Credit is drying up for hotel and condominium projects planned before the slowdown arrived.”
However, I think some of us in the online bingo world may have an insight into this situation, most likely due to witnessing a similar decline taking place amongst our cousins in the land-based bingo industry.
I don’t think it’s any real secret that many gamblers are taking their game online and that the growth we have seen in online gaming, particularly in the market for people who play bingo online, may be contributing to a slowdown in land-based gaming.
Naturally, there will be a huge resistance by land-based gabling operators to admit that their current downturn is in any way linked to the upsurge in online gambling. We’ve seen this in the reactions by land-based bingo here in the UK where online bingo and online bingo halls are hardly ever acknowledged as a reason for that sectors downturn.
There are no real numbers out there yet correlating a decline in traditional gambling with the move to its online variation, but I think any study in this direction will uncover some interesting facts about today’s gaming customers – it makes more sense these days to save the cost of a trip to a casino by simply logging on to their favourite site instead.

You’ve got to hand it to the people at Foxy Bingo for fronting up to a major blunder in prize money allocation and deciding not to fight a £50,000 payout. There are some online bingo operators out there that would have fought making such a payout tooth and nail – so congratulations to Foxy on not making this an issue.
According to a WhichBingo.co.uk report, one of Foxy’s bingo online games was designed to run as a coverall jackpot, but then somehow found itself on the online bingo hall’s site masquerading as a lucrative guaranteed jackpot. The result was very lucky online bingo player getting the win in 60 calls and a corresponding £50,000 prize.
FoxyBingo has honored the prize without a quibble despite the game really being worth only £500 as a coverall. In my opinion, had Foxy decided to fight this and argue that a mistake had been made it would have been very bad for business – not just for Foxy Bingo, but for the industry as a whole. Players will appreciate Foxy’s gesture in paying out the money and online bingo is better off because of it.

I’ve often said it, and I’ll say it again: Online bingo is one of the fastest growing niches in the online gambling industry.
Now we have a report by a respected source saying that online gambling is the third fastest growing industry on the Internet. If this is true, and we have no reason to doubt it, then that means online bingo games and online bingo halls must also still be one of the fastest growing online gambling sectors.
For the record, online news site ZDNet is reporting that latest US statistics for February and March 2008 show an increasing interest in online gaming with the industry garnering the third largest percentage monthly increase.
Online gambling followed radio entertainment with a 27% growth and gay and lesbian themed sties at 26%. Online gambling came in at 14%.

I have not had a chance to look at it myself yet, but the newly released report by Clarion Gaming covering the changes in advertising in the UK for online gaming will surely be an important part of any online bingo games operator’s arsenal in creating an effective marketing campaign.
Clarion Gaming is a useful site online bingo and gaming services and its new electronic report claims to lay out all the new rule changes for gambling advertisements in the UK. If there is anybody out there who has already had a peak at this report, I’d love to hear any comments you have.
