Katie Price who has been training hard for the London Marathon has pulled out with just days to go before the event. She was in rigorous training for the 26-mile run but has been struggling with an old knee injury. Katie has been running for the charity Vision and earlier in March she limped to the finishing line at the Silverstone Half Marathon despite her dodgy knee.

On her official website Price said that “it became apparent at the Silverstone half marathon (6th March) that my knee is not strong enough to withstand extensive runs.” Katie has only managed to complete the London Marathon in 2009 despite the knee giving way then too. She had pulled out of the London Marathon last year as well stating the same reason.

With donations for the charity Vision sponsoring her run, Katie has stated that she will double all the donations not returned. Meanwhile here’s the clincher: she’ll be spending the weekend with her new Argentinean boyfriend Leandro Penna instead. She was also out yesterday enjoying theme park rides at Alton Towers with Leandro and her children where they were joined by TOWIE stars Kirk Norcross and Lauren Pope.

Other serious marathon runners have been working extremely hard on their fitness and training. There are many runners who didn’t even manage to get an entry in the London Marathon and will understandably be ticked off at this.

Meanwhile, Harry Derbridge, 16, who was beaten by Paloma for the position of an assistant to cousin Amy at her salon says the brace-wearing beautician has been ‘Essexed’ for her new job.
