The girl band Little Mix is hogging the limelight and making the headlines in all the UK newspapers after their triumph on Saturday night.

By winning the X Factor finals they’ve made history as the first group act to reach this pinnacle with some help from their mentor Tulisa Contostavios.

But while the girl band is riding on the high of their success so is Tulisa. As reported, she wants to include the song she did with this band in her own forthcoming album.

Apparently the singer-songwriter also wishes she could manage the band but is happy to settle for mentoring and advising them for the future.

The four girls will now be moving to London where they share a house while Simon Cowell’s team works out their future.

With the ITV1 show having made history and now being history itself the immediate future brings on The X Factor tour with the popular girl band as its headline act followed by the studio recording of their album.

The Little Mix already see themselves as a brand and have vowed to maintain their “goody two-shoes” image as a role model for young girls. A creation of The X Factor these girls have a few ideas of their own but it remains to be seen how far they’ll go with them.

Meanwhile, mixing a little bit of bingo and instant games at 888ladies will go a long way in filling up fifteen stockings this Christmas. Running from Thursday 8th till Tuesday 27th December the £2k Stocking bingo promotion has awesome prizes and cash to be won.

With December comes the dash for a Christmas tree, decorations, gifts and a special dinner too and the countdown to the big day can be overwhelming.

Preparing lists of jobs to do will make it easier but finding easier ways to achieve them including a sound research and a budget will also make the festive activity fun.

Artificial trees come with options of fibre optic and even pre-lit Christmas trees which won’t shed on the carpet and can be re-used next year too.

Also, take a good look around the house as to where any decorations, garlands and candles can be placed before picking these up. Candles might not be practical if there are young children around the house.
There are ample of bargains to be found in High Street stores already so grabbing the first item off the shelf might not be a great idea. The discounts will make the cash stretch for more shopping but be sure that what you buy is what you want.
With most people now shopping online many stores are slashing their prices by up to 70% on electrical goods, toys and pressies for men and women.

Christmas puddings and turkeys can be bought with multi-buy deals but will have to be ordered by 15th December unless buying off the shelf at a supermarket.

Many of the online bingo sites are offering excellent presents and more importantly shopping vouchers in their Christmas promotions. These vouchers can be used at supermarkets as well as High Street stores for gift shopping.

Posh Bingo is giving away £250 worth of High Street vouchers for Boots, Debenhams, Amazon, House of Frazer, Waterstones and many other stores. With up to 48 pre-buy cards costing 10p these vouchers can be won with a bingo on the ‘Xmas Cracker’ pattern on every Sunday at 9.45pm this month in the £1k Xmas Wishlist bingo games.

Non-stop concert tours around the world for Rihanna are finally taking a toll on the 23-year old Bajan singer who is suffering from exhaustion.

On Friday 25th November just hours before performing at the O2 in Dublin, Ireland, the star made a tearful call to her mentor Beyonce who convinced her to complete her tour commitments before taking a year-long break.

The ten-month long Loud tour began with shows in Australia in late February and March followed by a gruelling schedule in the United States and Canada in June and July.

After a single show in Barbados the singer has been travelling in the UK, Ireland and Europe since August with a performance in Brazil at the Rock in Rio Festival thrown in.

The final shows in this tour are slated for Wednesday 21st and Thursday 22nd December when Rihanna will be performing at the O2 Arena in London.

Apart from travelling back and forth between various countries and even continents she has also been busy shooting a music video for her new single “We Found Love”.

There the pop star known for her raunchy dress code ran into trouble with a Northern Irish farmer who objected to nudity on his land and stopped the filming.

The music video was eventually filmed in a closed set since the singer was upset with all the attention drawn during the shoots. According to the security staff accompanying Rihanna, she even threatened to pull out of the video shoots unless her space was respected.

Jostling with Christmas shopping and cold weather can lead to stress for bingo players too. Tasty Bingo has Spa vouchers worth £150 up for grabs in the 2nd week of its month-long £800 Xmas Cracker promotion which gives a bingo game to be played on every Sunday in December.

When it comes to buying Christmas gifts for loved ones and friends one would probably wish for a readymade wish-list, although fitting it into the budget may be another thing.

Gifts received or given bring us just as much pleasure and yet most of the gifts we’ve got have been things we don’t really need. The things we’d most wish for are rarely ever found under those glittering wrappings.

It’s so much easier for children who simply get to write out a wish-list for Santa or might even say it aloud in front of a parent and magically find them in the sock on Christmas Day.

Until they realize, of course, that Father Christmas’ gifts are actually delivered by their parents, which is when the items on the wish-list might suddenly grow larger in size.

While preparing a gift list it’s always a good idea to begin with putting down the names of all the people you need to buy gifts for. Then jot down a few of their pet ‘likes’ and hobbies which will give an idea of what to shop for them.

Gadget lovers are the easiest to please if your budget can be stretched; simply check if they’ve got the latest iPad2 or iPhone 4S or have been hankering for a new gizmo.
Depending upon who’s on that gift list here are a few gifting ideas which include pampering hampers with bath and body products.

A fresh-smelling foot lotion will always be welcome for those tired feet and add to them giant bunny slippers to make luxurious and pampering gifts for the winter chill.

Someone handy with tools will appreciate a DIY tool kit while a gardening enthusiast will drool over garden decorations or tools; candles or even candle-making craft kits will do well for a home-proud person.

Just remember, food is a good idea only if the gift or hamper include non-perishables, or can be delivered within the required time frame. But a good bottle of wine or champagne will always be welcome.

Shopping for Christmas gifts will be made easy for one lucky winner in the £5000 Xmas Shopping Cracker game playing at Bingo Fabulous on Friday 2nd December at 8pm. The bingo site has a readymade wish-list with over 50 awesome gifts to choose from and will deliver them to the winner’s doorstep.

Wimbledon is a British tradition with the strawberries and cream relished by all and the all-whites dress code maintained by players from around the world. Many tennis players have in the past brought fashion to the courts in other Grand Slam events with Andre Agassi being probably the first among them. When it came to Wimbledon championships though, the players always stuck to traditional whites.

This now seems to be challenged by the talented Williams sisters whose clothes are spoken about almost as much as their tennis. Take away the focus from their ghastly on-court fashion sense and these two are undoubtedly among the best women players ever. So the big question is whether they like to make a statement with their clothes. An even bigger question should be whether their clothes affect their game or even the opponent’s game.

While the pretty frocks of the seventies and eighties did not affect the game for power-packed Martina Navratilova or Steffi Graf they were mostly plain and practical. Serena sporting skin-coloured shorts at the Australian Open and even sheer shorts with a Moulin Rouge-themed dress at Roland Garros last year is definitely begging for headlines. There is nothing practical or sporting about these garments.
Meanwhile, 31-year-old Venus will have to watch out for her clothes speaking louder than her tennis, which could be disastrous for this top player. She barely squeaked through her match with 40-year-old Kimiko Date in an event that should have been the highlight of this year, but was over shadowed by the flapping sleeves of her outfit. For a change though, Serena who came back from an injury kept a low profile on Day 2 as she began her quest for her fifth trophy here.

The tennis players at Wimbledon may or may not keep to the dress code but Wink Bingo players will certainly find the five WIMBY-themed bonus codes useful. Depositing £10 to £100 once on each day from Thursday 23rd till Monday 27th June with these codes will fetch extra bonuses for playing in the exciting weekend promotions.

Eddie Kidd has overcome all the odds to become an inspirational hero as he achieved his greatest feat ever. The former stuntman was told by doctors that he could never walk again after a failed stunt left him with brain damage and paralysis in 1996. It took him 43 days to complete the course and walk across the finishing line using a special frame but it shows the mark of the man who didn’t give up on this epic effort.

What is even more awe-inspiring is that Eddie had set out to raise £50,000 in charity for Children with Leukaemia and The Eddie Kidd Foundation. Although through his heroic achievement he raised £75,000 by Monday 6th June with still more donations coming in. Apart from lots of support from the media and followers on Twitter and Facebook Eddie was surrounded by cheering celebrity friends as he crossed the finishing line who hailed him a hero and a legend.

While this man may be a celebrity himself it is important to remember that it takes rigorous training and dedication on part of all marathoners to complete the 26-mile circuit. Eddie, 51, had to walk with a sensor on his left leg for stimulating the nerves and muscles to ensure the foot didn’t turn inwards as he walked for 26 miles over 43 days.

It’s not hard to imagine the amount of grit and dedication it took this former stuntman to complete his greatest feat 10 years after the disastrous crash. Eddie Kidd inspired people with medical problems and disabilities to join him in his effort and as his wife Sam, a former model said: “If Eddie can do it, so can you.”

Following fashion trends gets a bit muddled if you’re trying to emulate a celebrity who walks the red carpet in a designer label gown. You can take tips from the colour choice or styling in general but trying to duplicate the look never really works even if its high street fashion. Even Lydia Bright of TOWIE needs to learn that trying to pull off the beige Reiss ensemble which the new Duchess of Cambridge made famous in her classic style is not a bright idea.

It is easier to follow the trends from autumn and winter of 2010 into spring and summer of 2011 if you simply adapt what you liked most back then. So if a dress in black lace caught your fancy back then, play with pastels or warmer tones. If you like being noticed in bright reds then try out the bright summery colour palette for hot pink, tangerine, electric blue or even turquoise; these colours will stand out in a crowd and yet you’ll look cool.

Run a search for some of the hottest designers and their fashion shows for last autumn and winter ready-to-wear outfits for ideas on what styles can work for you. If you’re looking for understated urban chic which will do well for office wear then Stella McCartney is the one to watch. Dreamy whites, nudes and even florals will do well if you’re planning on a European or tropical holiday this summer.

If you’re fond of designer labels, just as everyone else, then hop into the bingo lobby of Posh Bingo. They’re running a classy promotion from Mondays to Fridays for a limited period. All you have to do is be there and look out for the banner when they’re name-dropping and email the ‘name-drop’ of the day to leanne@poshbingo.com before midnight. If you’re among the first 25 players to get in then you’ll be winning 5000jps for free.

If you’ve been wishing for a toned body without the inclination for a rigorous fitness regime then turn to Ernestine Shepherd for inspiration. This 74-year-old grandma from Baltimore can put people less than half her age to shame with her dedication to fitness and weight training.

Ms Shepherd has been crowned as the oldest competitive female body builder ever in the Guinness World Record book 2012 for her feats and is an inspirational figure for many. She has won two trophies in bodybuilding contests and has run nine marathons in the past 18 years. She also trains women in all age groups for five days a week and advises them not to be afraid of weight training.

Cutting a unique figure in a fitness gym Ms Shepherd can be seen in sports outfits which read, ‘Determined, dedicated, disciplined to be fit’. This retired school secretary and certified fitness trainer wakes up at 3am every day, meditates and then runs 10 miles before lunch. She works out religiously with weights and follows a strict diet of brown rice, bland chicken and a glass of raw egg whites three times a day.

Some would argue that a septuagenarian should be enjoying life from a park bench rather than lifting weights on a bench press. Having been a self-confessed “couch potato” until the age of 56 she started working out at a local centre when she and her older sister found their bodies were going soft.

Ernestine Shepherd has been featured in the Essence magazine and appeared on ‘Today’ and ‘The Mo’Nique Show’, models for Nova Models and has even participated in the Senior Miss America pageant. An inspiration to her husband of 54 years, she has also helped women half her age drop dress sizes and live a healthier life, Ms Shepherd truly means it when she says “Age is nothing but a number”.

Events like the Cannes Film Festival 2011 are great for fashion roll call as we get to check out what’s hot and what’s not from some of the top designer names. While the event is all about showcasing international film-making talent fashion takes its prime role on the red carpet where even the cosmetic giant L’Oreal shows off its brand ambassadors.

This year the elegant actress Uma Thurman stole the show with her electric blue Armani Privé gown at the closing ceremony. An exquisite dress with rhinestones lightly embellishing the neckline, hemline and all along the back, it faithfully hugged 41-year-old Thurman’s stunning figure. For the opening ceremony she wowed the crowds with her white Versace Fall 2011 gown to which she added nude Jimmy Choo ‘Miles’ strappy sandals and emerald Chopard jewels.

With her excellent figure the Kill Bill star makes an excellent model for the designer creations. For a photocall before the opening ceremony she was seen in another white dress, this time her choice was a Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2011 fitted dress. For the premiere of Pirates of the Caribbean the actress dug into the Chanel couture chest and came up with another stunner.

Meanwhile Penelope Cruz who joins Johnny Depp on the credits of this film stood out at the premiere in a beautiful Marchessa Fall 2011 gown. The romantic mermaid look came from the flowing tulle train and the tulle tufts on the shoulders and exquisite overall embroidered details.

Johnny Depp and the Pirates are back this summer with booming cannons, uproarious naval chases and a feisty old flame played by the gorgeous Spanish actress Penelope Cruz. This of course comes with Keira Knightley exiting the scene along with Orlando Bloom while you’ve been wondering whether or not Jack Sparrow has a thing for her.

With the aim being on finding the legendary fountain of eternal youth the newest sequel of the Pirates of the Caribbean focuses on aging. Does it then imply that the legend of Jack Sparrow will soon be buried at sea? Only time will tell. Meanwhile, the critics seem to be divided in their verdict but that shouldn’t stop die-hard fans from watching the megastar as he takes that uncertain, wincing and clearly campy gait again on the big screen.

While Captain Sparrow’s commitment phobia continues to dog him in POTC4, Depp is of the opinion that the “legend” should be left alone. Although after a few tipples with the producers he apparently suggested giving the fey pirate a sex change in the latest instalment. Thankfully this suggestion was forgotten with sober after-thought.

Depp, who has a huge fan following with women in particular, has never appeared any closer to the kohl-eyed and dainty pirate; in fact his popularity only seems to keep growing. One of the largest, most comprehensive and longest running fan sites called Depp Impact is dedicated to this actor.

You can watch Johnny Depp in this roller-coaster ride with 3D swoops over ships, sea and jungles with scenes in 18th century London included. As a bingo player you can also catch the pirate fun all through this weekend at 888ladies with three extra free deposit bonuses of 75% and win a DVD player along with the Pirates Trilogy DVD box set and Odeon cinema vouchers worth £20. These prizes will be going out to three lucky players.
